Guessing 1.5 years since I bought it brand new (Anaconda)
Material is LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene)
Used mainly during the summer months in rivers, lakes and dams
Good entry level upgrade (from the 2.7m version)
Very stable with a 120Kg payload capacity
– Has a foot pedal controlled rudder system (never used it, never saw the need for the contraption on a slow moving craft)
– 5 fishing rod holders (incl 1 central mounted)
– deluxe raised seat (very comfortable, breathable mesh keeps you cool compared to the padded ones which also seats in any puddle)- self draining plugs
– easy to paddle
– 1 water resistant storage front hatch
– 1 water proof hull storage hatch under seat
– 1 bungee corded rear storage (for dry bags, tackle gear, cooler)
– 1 water resistant storage under central rod holder (i use for my 12v deep cycle battery with 44lb trolling motor mounted on the rear 2 rod holders using DIY pvc/4×2 cross-members)Cons
– Scratches on the bottom but no holes
– Seat securing lug on rear left is missing (never got around to replacing it as it never was an issue).
– Seat straps held to frame by steel tent pegs, guy ropes and gorilla tape. Original rivets have come off and can be replaced with nut/bolt/washers
– 1 cord anchor missing (rear storage???) I honestly don’t know what that cord with cherry red ball is used for
Pros
Comes with Seak trolley (you will need one) – worth $79
Seak Glide paddles (you will need these too) – worth $50
Loading a kayak by yourself is easy. The only tip I use from this video is the rope that ties the bottom to the tow
ball to keep it from sliding out when you lift the other end onto the roof. Everything else is overkill.
