A retailer admired and supported by families across Australia need a new Merchandise Planner, to support on a permanent basis whilst their current incumbent enjoys maternity leave for the next 13 months.

Your new role
The purpose of this role is to plan and forecast all stock requirements ensuring the successful procurement and allocation of stock that results in balanced assortments and stock-levels in stores to achieve (and exceed) sales budgets, margins and manage stock levels.
- Lead, guide and manage workflow of all planning tasks, data extraction and interpretation on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis.
- Ensure tasks are completed eg, Trade Report, Intake, Allocations & Replens, Warehouse monitoring and management, New Stores, Range Plans, Core management.
- Continual assessment of stock requirements based on product/size/store performance and communicate stock levels to buyer and ensure accurate forecasting and order placement on suppliers
- Management and support to Allocators and Planning Administrator
- Lead in-season & post-seasonal meetings with quality analysis on sales trends, profitability, product life cycle, pricing, sizing, product attributes required to ensure a balanced assortment is planned upfront.
- Manage pre-season range plans, store phasing, allocations and rollups
- Stock forecasting, OTB management, markdown strategies, correct seasonal flow and continual store stock balancing.
- Build and manage financial plans for the categories within and across brands.
- Share information on trends based on product performance, forecasts and conduct financial planning and make projections based on data
What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience within a Merchandise Planner role, technically strong across the planning and analysis space
- You are a motivated, driven individual who enjoys juggling many tasks at once whilst inspiring your team across their tasks and challenges
- Confident communicator with all matters planning, explaining status to stakeholder groups and presenting findings
- Financial analysis & interpretation
- Commercial analysis and interpretation
- Negotiation Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and resilience

Salary, dependent on experience $110K – $130K Super
Role is due to interview in January 2022, with the hope to commence in either Feb or March 2022 depending on applicants availability for handover with current employee prior to maternity leave.
