On average, these fish can live anywhere between 10 and 20 years! Comet Goldfish can stretch their lifespans even longer than that is certain conditions. Optimal water conditions and a large environment will reduce the chances of disease and help these fish thrive for years to come.

Their distinguishing trait, and also what gave them their name is their beautiful tail fin. It resembles the tail of comets and even more so when they glide around in the tank.
