Overview
The role of ECU Sports is to enhance theUniversity experience of ECU students by providing them with the opportunity toengage in high quality sporting, fitness and recreational events and programswithin the University and with other Universities.
Accountabilities:
·Promoteand communicate the services of ECU Sports to staff and students;
·Providemembers with professional physical fitness appraisals, programs, fitnessclasses and advice with respect to health and lifestyle issues;
·Supervisingattendees within the ECU Sport and Fitness Centre facilities;
·Keepthe facilities and all equipment clean and in good working order;
·Completeall associated administrative tasks that supports the services of the ECU Sportand Fitness Centre such as all service bookings and membership processing anddata checking;
·Participatein all ECU, team and individual planning activities; comply with ECU policiesand practices in all aspects of their work and conduct; and ensure the safetyand wellbeing of themselves and others by complying with Work Health and Safetyand Equal Opportunity requirements;
·Flexibilityto fill-in at short notice or work various timeslots throughout the week.
Essential Selection Criteria:
·Tertiaryqualifications in relevant discipline (Bachelor of Exercise & SportsScience) OR Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness;
·Experiencein servicing clients as a fitness instructor;
· Experience in delivering circuit classes
· Experience in delivering Les Mills, Pilates or cycle classes (not essential)
·Excellentorganisational skills, including time management and planning skills;
·Proficiencyand experience in Microsoft Office software particularly MS Outlook, Word andExcel;
·Mustpossess a current working with children check;
·Mustpossess current Senior First Aid and CPR certificates;
·Can be available to work early mornings, evenings and weekends atboth Joondalup and Mount Lawley centres.
·Immunisation StatusThe University may require you to produce satisfactory evidence as determinedby the University of your immunisation status (vaccination history, screeningresults, exemptions, etc.). You agree and consent to produce such evidence whenrequested by the University.
