The service we offer is meaningful not only to our clients, but our client’s families. You will become one of the trusted advisors within the Clinical Nursing team by working collaborative to achieve extraordinary level of clinical services and care to our Client.
ABOUT THE ROLE: Located in the Little Bay, South East Sydney, our private client requires palliative care. He is a very private person who normally likes his own company and enjoys cars and Science Fiction movies. He has a very supportive family. We are looking to add exceptional professionals into the rotating, ongoing/consistent schedule, working with the current experienced team.
Looking for 3 experienced RN’s who can be available for large 24/7 shifts based on availability.
TASKS INCLUDE:
- Observe client’s wellbeing and make recommendations about care enhancement to their Case Manager
- Administering medications
- Assisting with patient rehabilitation and with any personal care requirements
- Maintaining records and communicating with doctors
- Participate in client reviews and work with the client’s family to evaluate health outcomes
- Provide social support
- Assistance with transport
ABOUT YOU: You understand that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously and have a healthy sense of humour, you can enjoy a laugh. You are a fantastic communicator. You are not easily flustered and remain calm and collected in all sorts of situations. You enjoy being productive, reliable and getting things done, and because you are proactive and organised you have a knack for helping people. You know how to get your point across to be understood and you easily understand others. After having met you, people remember the way you made them feel. This is due to your natural warmth and the fact that you are a good listener. YOU WILL HAVE:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Registered Nurse ( must be currently registered with AHPRA)
- Recent clinical experience and competency, particularly in wound care and current medication management
- Fall prevention and seizure management experience are ideal
- Experience in palliative care
- Previous community nursing experience is highly advantageous for this role
- Must have a current driver’s licence, a reliable road worthy vehicle and full comprehensive insurance.
- Valid CPR (issued within the last 12 months)
- NDIS workers screening check ( or willingness to obtain )
